Shakshuka


Shakshuka is our favorite breakfast dish. Having lived in MIddle East for more than a decade, we love the local cuisine. You will fond many authentic recipe of shakshuka and let me tell you it’s not the authentic one but I have twisted it to suit my taste. As Ramadan is approching, this would be idea to serve on sahoor along with some whole meal bread and greek yoghurt.

Ingredients:


6 eggs

1/2 cup slices tomatoes

1/2 cup bell pepper

1/2 cup mushrroms

1/2 cup baby spinach ( optional)

1 table spoon balsamic vinegar

1 table spoon Florentine sauce or any chili sauce

2 table spoon oil

red pepper flakes as desired

black pepper as desired

Garlic powder: 1/4 teaspoon

parsley: As desired

salt as desired



Method:


saute tomatoes, add sauce, garlic powder and dried parsley. Later add all veggies and balsamic vinegar. Add salt and pepper.

lastly add eggs one by one and let it simmer on low heat until done. Garnish with pepper flakes and fresh or dried parsley.
